Market Rate Apartments
Trianon Lofts is a housing and retail project in the Woodlawn Community. It is the first predominantly market-rate rental housing to be built in Woodlawn in more than 50 years, according to the area developers, Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH). The total project development cost of $12.5 million resulted in a 4-story structural steel frame and precast structure with Silbonit and Hardie Board FRC exterior panels. It has 24 two-bedroom/two-bath units and 7,000 square feet of commercial space. It demonstrates “the ongoing revitalization of Woodlawn and is the latest element of a strong healthy community,” says Bill Eager, Vice President of POAH’s Chicago area.
Each apartment features 900-950 square feet of living space, 10′ ceilings, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops. A in-unit washer/dryer and state of the art VRF HVAC system complete each apartment. JJ Duffy Co. worked extensively with POAH, the developers, UrbanWorks, the architect, to make this project possible.
