25-Sep-2014

Hope Manor II, one of the first large scale, supportive housing development designed specifically for veterans with families has announced it’s grand opening slated for October 17, 2014. The campus style development, with 37 units, ranging from studio apartments to 4 bedroom town homes, a picnic area and children’s play lot, was constructed in a combination of masonry/concrete precast plank & frame construction.  This development will deal with homeless Veterans or those at-risk of being homeless.  The development includes community involvement, City of Chicago MBE/WBE hiring guidelines, minority subcontractors and suppliers; guidelines Joseph J. Duffy Co. endeavors to follow on all of its City of Chicago projects.  As part of the development team, Duffy was involved from the earliest concept.
