Robert C. Einspar, Site Superintendent, joined the firm in 1984 as a union carpenter.  As a carpenter, Bob has worked in concrete, rough framing, metal studs, acoustic tile, finish carpentry and millwork.  He was quickly promoted to the foreman level and, since 1994, has been a superintendent for Duffy.  One of Bob's strengths is his desire to do things right.  He strives for perfection with every one of his project decisions and he always keeps the interest of the customer at the forefront of his concerns.

Bob has completed the 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training Courses and First Aid.

Donald M. Morales, Site Superintendent, joined the firm in 1995. Don earned a BA from Northeastern Illinois University, has been a union carpenter since 1973 and extensive construction experience, including over 23 years as a superintendent. He has completed the 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training Courses and First Aid.

Tom Speck, Superintendent, 7 years with JJDuffy and a superintendent for us since 2005.  Tom attended Colorado State University on a football scholoarship from 1994 through 1996, studying construction management.  He has been in construction since 1997, working as a carpenter, carpenter foreman and as an independent business owner.  Tom has completed the 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training Courses and First Aid.

Douglas M. Karcavich, LEED AP, Project estimator, joined the firm in 2004.  Doug earned his BA from the University of Illinois. Prior to joining Duffy he spent 4 years working for a national cost consulting firm working on commercial, institutional, healthcare and industrial projects throughout the US.  Since joining JJ Duffy, he has focused on Senior Housing projects of all types for both non-profit and for-profit clients in addition to other types of commercial and industrial projects.  Doug was also a member of a national insurance firm’s catastrophe assessment team.  He works on all the architectural, structural and MEP components, compiling costs required for the final estimate.

Diego Labycz, Project Manager, started with JJDuffy in 2002.  He has over 16 years of construction experience as a superintendent and project manager in industrial, multi-family, residential, commercial, retail and institutional projects.  Diego received his AS degree in Architectural Technology from Triton College and his BS degree in Construction Management from Purdue University.  He has recently completed safety training that qualifies him to teach the 10-hour and 30-hour OSHA Safety and Health Training courses.

Mike Mazer Sr., Project Manager has over 40 years of construction experience in all levels including Director of Construction Operations.  Projects include multifamily/senior housing, industrial, hospitality/restaurant and others. 

Michael Godek, Project Estimator, MS in Technology & BS Industrial Technology, Construction Management from Eastern Illinois Univ., experienced in multifamily from townhomes to midrise construction.

John Boban, Site Superintendent, has construction experience of over 26 years in retail, multifamily housing including an 8 story caisson supported SRO in downtown Chicago, townhomes including luxury homes and commercial projects. 

Allen Norton, Site Superintendent, experience began over 26 years ago and includes industrial, commercial, retail and multifamily including LEED certified grade school project in Grayslake, Illinois. 

Ronald R. Ammons, Site Superintendent with over 37 years of experience, he has progressed from carpenter foremen to site superintendent for numerous schools, WWTP facilities, college buildings for science research to libraries as well as multifamily experience. 

Jose A. Flores, a 2010 graduate of the Univ. of Illinois in Civil Engineering, Chicago campus.  He handles field engineering, processing of shop, drawings and field office paper work & reports.  He also provides computer tech support for the field operations.
